Biography
Nikoloz is a psychiatrist and psychotherapist who combines a strong scientific foundation with a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to care. In his work, he brings together modern psychopharmacology and evidence-based psychotherapy, allowing him to support patients with a wide range of mental health concerns — from anxiety and mood disorders to complex cases involving comorbidity or addiction.
He currently provides outpatient psychiatric and psychotherapeutic care in Tbilisi. Nikoloz works according to international clinical guidelines, while always adapting treatment to the individual person in front of him. His focus goes beyond symptom relief: he places great importance on long-term follow-up, maintaining remission, and helping patients reduce the risk of relapse.
His clinical experience includes working with depressive and bipolar disorders, panic and anxiety disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). He also treats more severe and chronic conditions such as schizophrenia spectrum disorders and organic mental disorders, including dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. In addition, Nikoloz has extensive experience in managing psychosomatic conditions and supporting patients with substance use disorders — from alcohol and drug dependence to nicotine addiction.
Nikoloz’s therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based practices. A core value of his work is creating a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space, where patients feel heard and supported, and where treatment is built on trust, clarity, and collaboration.
