Acne & the gut: what do studies actually say?

Acne & the gut: what do studies actually say?

✨ Acne & the gut: there is no scientific evidence that gastrointestinal diseases directly cause acne. The link with H. pylori also remains unproven. If breakouts cleared after treating gastritis, most likely it was due to the antibiotics. But, unfortunately, the acne usually comes back.

🥛 Diet & acne: the role of diet remains ambiguous. Some studies show a possible link between dairy or foods with a high glycemic index and acne flare-ups. However, excluding these foods does not guarantee remission — and not everyone has a diet-acne connection.

🔍 Experimental approach: if you suspect that milk or too much chocolate triggers your acne, you may try limiting them and observing how your skin reacts.
