Biography
Abdominal pain is not always caused by gastritis. The same symptoms can be associated with different conditions, which is why I believe it is important not simply to give them a familiar label, but to understand their underlying causes and mechanisms.
I am a gastroenterologist, hepatologist, and internal medicine specialist. One of the main focuses of my practice is the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of liver diseases. I work with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), viral hepatitis, cirrhosis, and other chronic liver conditions. I am a member of the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL), and my clinical practice is guided by current international clinical guidelines.
I help patients identify the causes of heartburn and provide diagnosis and treatment for diseases of the esophagus and stomach, including Helicobacter pylori infection.
Another important area of my practice is functional gastrointestinal disorders, including irritable bowel syndrome, functional dyspepsia, chronic abdominal pain, bloating, and bowel habit disturbances. I help patients understand why their symptoms occur, what factors may contribute to them, and which treatments can help manage their symptoms more effectively and improve their quality of life.
For me, it is important not only to establish a diagnosis and prescribe treatment, but also to explain clearly what is happening and work together with each patient to develop a plan. I believe a consultation has achieved its goal when you leave with a clear understanding of your condition and the reassurance that you are not alone on your journey to better health—and that you can always turn to me whenever you need support.
